Coordinating sectoral claims for biomass in the transition to a fossil-free welfare society
The project aims to increase understanding of how competing claims on biomass and biogenic hydrocarbons can be managed in the transition to a fossil-free society, focusing on the interaction between different sectors and actors.
Through an interdisciplinary approach, the project identifies how various industrial sectors formulate their claims, highlights potential conflicts and synergies, and analyses how these expectations align with the sustainable availability of biomass and biogenic hydrocarbons. The project also seeks to create a common understanding of how resources can be balanced within the boundaries of ecological limits and social justice, intending to contribute to a long-term sustainable bioeconomy.
