Working with

Dr Rasmus Karlsson is an Associate Professor of Political Science and, since 2023, employed at Halmstad University. As co-applicant for the project "Coordinating Sectoral Demands on Biomass in the Transition to a Fossil-Free Welfare Society", Rasmus was recently awarded research funding by the Swedish Energy Agency for the period 2025–2027. In March 2025, he contributed a chapter on ecomodernism as a political ideology to the "Handbook of Environmental Political Theory in the Anthropocene" by Edward Elgar Publishing. In addition to his research in the fields of environmental and climate politics, Rasmus has a strong interest in higher education pedagogy, which has, among other things, resulted in an article on hybrid teaching which has been accepted for publication in 2025 with the "Journal of Social Work Education".
