I am interested in theoretically informed empirical research, particularly through ethnographic methods. My scientific activity rests on three main pillars: research on social and geographical inequality; everyday life research; and methodology, analysis, and theory development.

I am currently working on the research project "Eco-social risks and 'exposure bias' also in the Global North? A study of pluvial flooding in relation to socioeconomic context in Sweden", together with Kajsa Emilsson, Lund University. I have previously studied children and young people's everyday life in rural Sweden; social work in Ghana and so-called traditional practices; refugee migration and reception; professional work within the prison and probation services; and decision-making in medical practice.
