I am Associate Professor in English Literature at the School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences. I teach courses in English literature and didactics and supervise degree projects within the teacher programme.

My research is situated at the intersection of English fiction, sound, and technology. In The Player Piano and the Edwardian Novel (Ashgate, 2015), I examine the discourse on music and mechanics as represented in Edwardian fiction. My current research focus is the vocal performance of printed texts, predominantly classics, through audiobook narration.
