I am a senior lecturer with a PhD in history and a teaching degree.
I am the program director for the Primary Teacher Education year F-3 and the Primary Teacher Education year 4-6. As a teaching lecturer, I am involved in courses on core subjects in educational sciences, such as teacher leadership and didactics, and courses on social studies in the primary and lower secondary teacher programs. I supervise student's degree projects and teach in the Swedish National Agency for Education's commissioned courses on meeting and teaching about honor cultural violence and oppression in school.
My research focuses on the work of temperance, popular education, and women's movement in the democratization process. In my thesis, I have investigated women as political actors and entrepreneurs at the national level. In recent years, my research has had a local and regional focus. I have participated in the editorial group for a local history project with the popular science book "Halland's History" (2022), in which I am also the author of three chapters on Halland's popular movements, the social welfare work for children around the turn of the century 1900 and on segregation policy and Roma exclusion in Halland.
In my current research project, I study regional lecture and popular education associations during the late 1800s and early 1900s and I participate in the research environment TRAINS.
