Working with

I am a professor of Sports Science with a focus on health promotion at the School of Health and Welfare, Halmstad University. My research is partly on physical activity: Empowerment-based physical activity interventions and Orthorexia Nervosa (when dietary habits become excessive and instead create ill health) in relation to physical activity and exercise. Partly, it is about sustainable sports (elite and children/youth and coaching) and athletes' health and well-being. A gender or intersectionality perspective also appears in my research. I also research immigrant women's leadership in sports. In addition, I supervise doctoral students within the framework of the doctoral education in Health and Lifestyle at Halmstad University. I have a solid knowledge of various qualitative research methods. I am also a member of the Swedish Research Council for Sport Science.
