Find Accommodation
Finding a place to stay during your studies is a high priority when you get admitted as a student with us. As the demand for student accommodation is high you need to put in some effort, but starting out early is usually rewarding.
Similar to all student cities, there is high demand for accommodation in Halmstad. Therefore we strongly advise you to start looking for accommodation as soon as you have been admitted and decided to start your studies with us.
Many of the regional landlords require that all tenants have a Swedish personal number, which makes the process for international students a bit more challenging, however there are some options available:

You can of course also look for private advertisements online and on social media platforms, but please be careful as there are a lot of scam being reported.
Student Union responsible for student accommodation
The Student Union is responsible for student accommodation in Halmstad. Currently they have limited availability of housing and cannot guarantee student accommodation for international students. You will be contacted by them with potential offers after being admitted to Halmstad University.
Bringing family members?
The Student Union only supports accommodation for admitted students. If you are bringing your family and need a different accommodation option, you are responsible for organising this yourself.
