About The School of Health and Welfare (HOV)
The School of Health and Welfare (HOV) has approximately 120 employees and consists of three departments.
The management, administration as well as teachers and researchers have offices in the R building on the campus area. Most of the education is also conducted in the R building, but lectures may also be held in other buildings on the campus area, as well as in the form of web-based distance teaching. The Nursing Programme also has education and staff located at Campus Varberg.
We are innovative social actors for health and welfare.

The Department of Health and Sport
The staff at the department is highly engaged in education and research connected to areas such as health and lifestyle, sports science, education and psychology. The Head of Department is Marie Lydell, Docent of Public Health Science.
The Department of Health and Care
The staff at the department is highly engaged in education and research connected to areas such as health and lifestyle, nursing and health innovation. The Head of Department is Ing-Marie Carlsson, Docent of Nursing.
The Department of Society and Welfare
The staff at the department is highly engaged in education and research connected to areas such as health and lifestyle, work science, media and communication science, social work and sociology. The Head of Department is Helena Eriksson, Senior Lecturer in Social Work.
