School of Health and Welfare
The School of Health and Welfare (HOV) is a research and educational environment that focuses on people’s needs and society’s challenges in terms of health, lifestyle and welfare. Here, education, research and collaboration are conducted within social and behavioural sciences and nursing.
HOV conducts education, research and collaboration in many areas: health and lifestyle, sports science, pedagogy, psychology, occupational science, media and communication studies, social work, sociology and nursing. Here, new knowledge, theories and methods are developed with the goal of contributing to solving the challenges that the welfare state faces, in order to make a difference for individuals and the society in terms of public health and well-being.
