I am an experienced Research Scientist with a robust background in both academia and industry. I hold a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP) in Portugal, with a specialization in Real-time Embedded Systems. Additionally, I possess a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Halmstad University in Sweden, focusing on Embedded and Intelligent Systems.

My professional journey spans over 17 years, commencing in 2000, and includes extensive international experience within and outside the European Union, notably in Egypt, Sweden, and Portugal. My expertise encompasses the comprehensive design of embedded systems, covering both hardware and software components.

I am proficient in several programming and design tools, including Matlab, C/C++, Java, ADA, Assembly, Dataflow languages (such as CAL actor language and Sigma-C), Opendf, Ambric ajava, VHDL, and various circuit design tools (e.g., Orcad, Pcad, BSpice, Altera MaxPlus).

As a researcher, I am deeply engaged in the fields of Embedded Systems, Real-time Systems, Distributed Real-time Systems, Parallel Computing, Algorithms, Dataflow Computational Model, Dataflow Analysis, Dataflow Programming, as well as the optimization, performance, and timing analysis of algorithms, and embedded software design.
