The LIV project – an individualized lifestyle intervention for people diagnosed with schizophrenia
The aim of the project was to investigate the effects and cost-effectiveness of a lifestyle intervention in the areas of physical activity, diet, alcohol and tobacco for people diagnosed with schizophrenia.
The specific questions to investigate the impact of the intervention on are:
- Health-related behaviours, such as physical activity, dietary habits, alcohol intake and smoking habits.
- The risk of developing diabetes and cardiovascular disease, measured by clinical variables and blood tests.
- The underlying disease, measured as psychiatric symptoms and with validated measuring instruments.
- Health economic variables.
