GOOCZ – Getting Out of the Comfort Zone
The research project Getting Out of the Comfort Zone connects universities and companies to provide both teachers and students with the knowledge needed to promote green transition. The goal is to create education that benefits both working life and the environment.
Today, it is common for students to get internships as part of their education, but for teachers and researchers, similar opportunities are rare. Many in the world of higher education have little or no experience of working outside academia. Getting Out of the Comfort Zone wants to change that by giving teachers and researchers the chance to gain insight into how things work in companies and industries that invest in sustainability.
The project also contributes to the development of new ways of teaching, combining theory with practical experience. Teachers who participate in the program gain knowledge about sustainability and digitalization, which they can use to strengthen students' opportunities in the labor market.
By uniting universities and businesses, we are creating a Europe that is ready to meet the challenges of tomorrow, with skilled and environmentally conscious workers.
