Scientific Writing and Publishing
The course deals with the principles behind the IMRaD structure for scientific articles, with particular focus on the introduction and discussion sections. Scientific articles with a focus on structure are compared and analyzed. The course also focuses on developing the ability to write coherently, concisely and clearly. Through a practical workshop, the participants get to practice working with scientific texts and are given the opportunity to give and receive feedback on texts. The course also deals with various parts of the publishing process and provides insights into editorial work in scientific journals. Discussions are conducted around practical experiences and tips regarding various aspects of scientific writing and publishing.
There are a total of four occasions, of which one is an on-site workshop in Halmstad on the 8th of October.
