CCTV on campus
Some premises on campus are under CCTV surveillance. In connection with these areas / entrances, there is clear information that these rooms are under CCTV surveillance.
The recorded film material is deleted automatically after seven days and in the event of a need for investigation after a report has been made. The recordings are stored at the University and are not accessible from elsewhere.
Legal basis
The legal basis for processing your personal data is the General Data Protection Regulation (Art. 6.1.e). The processing is necessary to perform a task of general interest or as part of the personal data controller’s exercise of authority. Halmstad University is the personal data controller.
Halmstad University applies current legislation in all processing of personal data.
The University may share personal information with a third party (for example the police), provided that the University is obligated to do so by law.
According to the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to receive information about the information we have about you. This may mean requesting correction, transfer or to request that we restrict processing, to object or request deletion of your information. You do this by contacting Halmstad University by email or phone, where you can also get in contact with the data protection representative.
The Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection is the supervisory authority.
