The course introduces the concept of Business Intelligence and how concepts and development principles within Business Intelligence can be used as key elements in a decision support system. The data warehouse concept used to manage large and varied data sets is introduced. Furthermore, the course also covers methodology for developing and applying various modern analytical methods such as AI. The course also deals with the presentation of data and solutions to decision-makers with dynamic dashboards, with an emphasis on how decision-makers need to experiment with a model themselves in order to believe in the results. The course also includes why and how BI is used in companies and authorities.
