Working with

I am a professor of Sports Science with a focus on health promotion at the School of Health and Welfare, Halmstad University. I have a solid knowledge of various qualitative research methods. My main research concerns empowerment-based physical activity interventions, holistic sport and health coaching, sustainability in elite sport and athlete health and well-being. A gender or intersectionality perspective also appears in my research. I am also researching immigrant women's career paths concerning working life, higher education and leadership in sports. Currently, I have the assignment of chairman of the Research and Education Committee at the University of Halmstad, and I am the project leader in the evaluation of the University's research ARC24. In addition, I supervise doctoral students within the framework of the doctoral program in Health and Lifestyle at Halmstad University. I am also a member of the Swedish Research Council for Sport Science board.
