Working with
Amin Parsa holds a doctoral degree in public international law from Lund University. His research encompasses the development and utilization of advanced digital and visual technologies in the context of armed conflicts and EU border control practices. Positioned at the crossroads of international law, sociology of law, international humanitarian law, international migration, and refugee law, Parsa's research profile is essentially interdisciplinary. In recent years, Parsa has delved into other topics, including intersectional perspectives on artificial intelligence (AI) and the intricate politics surrounding the abolition of prisons and police. At Halmstad University, Parsa actively contributes to the Transformation, Innovation, and Norm Sciences (TRAINS) Research Programme through both research and teaching endeavors. Parsa's latest manuscript is: "Targeting in International Law Counterinsurgency and the Legal Materiality of the Principle of Distinction", (Routledge: London): 2024.
