My research is about digital media and children and young people's everyday life. I lead the research group DIGIKIDS Sweden. The aim of our research is to gain new insights into the ways in which digital technology inform and permeate the everyday lives of children, 0-3 yrs. old. We investigate their digital media appropriation, practices and agency as well as parental mediation strategies, to advance our understanding of their implications on childhood and family life.The research is funded by the Swedish Research Council (2019-2023, dnr 2018-01261). I have previously led the research group Children Advertising and Internet at Lund University (cai @ lu). We studied online advertising and children's perceptions and understanding of new forms of internet advertising, and their visual interaction with advertising and its impact using EMM and controlled experiments. Another major research interest concern media and health and the role of media in people's health development.
