Eva's research interest has always been attached to cross-disciplinary projects where she is interested in questions related to the potentials of digital technology and play to reshape learning and teaching, and how to design, build and evaluate systems, processes and interfaces that enhance these relationships. Her current research projects involve how computational/digital play is approached in early childhood education.

Through a perspective on participatory designs for computational play as a social and material activity, beyond an understanding of computational activities as an individual “thinking” endeavour, the overall aim of Eva's current research is to explore how a participatory design approach including traditional and digital resources trigger children’s computational play.

Eva is a member of LeaDS research programme - Learning in a Digital Society - where she is active in Theme 1: Digitalisation and learning in schools & preschools.
