Superlattice-based HOT MWIR imaging sensors
Detection of radiation in the midwave infrared region (MWIR) is of utmost importance in applications such as security, environmental monitoring and medical screening. In this project we developed state-of-the-art cooled type-II superlattice (T2SL) sensor arrays with higher operational temperature (HOT) and reduced parasitic leakage currents floating on the surface walls of the pixels. These improved sensors will significantly improve the competitiveness and growth of all companies and agencies in the Swedish “IR ecosystem” relying on advanced MWIR camera systems, such as IRnova, FLIR, Saab and FMV.
