Prevention 360
The view of and responsibility for the health of individuals and populations needs to change; from reactive, general and urgent to proactive, precise and informed. That society’s inhabitants remain in good health to the greatest extent possible, that health care resources are directed so that they have the greatest chance of creating benefit and that the need for resource-intensive care is minimised, are central points to tackle in order to ensure high-quality care for those who need it.
Prevention 360 consists of three national innovation environments that:
- have run innovation environments and networks around preventable diseases,
- develop and test methods for sharing, analysing and visualising healthcare information using advanced methodology, and
- practically implement and carry out real health promotion efforts.
Through a data-driven way of working, both individuals and social actors such as municipalities and regions can act in an informed and proactive manner with targeted interventions to promote health and counteract ill-health, while at the same time giving the individual the conditions to take responsibility for their health.
The innovation environments included are Nollvision Cancer (Vision Zero Cancer), Prevention Barnfetma (Childhood Obesity Prevention) and Information Driven Care. They are well-established, forward-looking environments with a wide range of partners and networks from the public sector as well as the life science and medtech industry who work together with a patient association to achieve real impact. The working method in Prevention 360 is based on understanding problems, proposing and changing through the mobilisation of more actors. The goal is to contribute to an innovation program that enables effective implementation of common challenges with a guaranteed patient/citizen perspective.
