Informatics Scientific Foundations
The course introduces informatics scientific foundations from the perspective of how it is described in doctoral thesises. The student develops knowledge in identifying and selecting relevant thesises with regards to their own thesis work, and critically discuss, compare and evaluate different aspects of informatics research. Thesises are selected so that they convey detailed knowledge of how they relate to Swedish and international research, theoretical foundations as well as methodological considerations, well developed empirical findings and reflections on research results. This will also make the student more familiar with different ways of designing an informatics thesis.
