Short Biography:

Mohamed-Rafik Bouguelia is an Associate Professor and Docent in Machine Learning at Halmstad University in Sweden, where he is the program manager for the Applied AI program. Previously, he conducted research at the University of Lorraine and the INRIA research center in France, where he received his Ph.D. in Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning. He holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science from USTHB University, Algeria. His current research interests include interactive machine learning, representation learning with deep neural networks, transfer learning, and meta-learning.
