Business Model Innovation
Innovation is when a new idea, technology, product or organizational design is taken from concept to implementation, either in business or in the community. An innovation must achieve acceptance, proliferation rate and create value for stakeholders. One of the most important aspects of innovation is commercializing procedures is in the business context. In this course, students develop an understanding of the dynamics of innovation, from idea generation to market success and proliferation. The focus is on exploring the dynamics of innovation, commercialization of innovation to become a successful product or service, especially when the business model's role in the process of creating an innovation. Especially business models for internationalization and international aspects of commercialization will be explored.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or the equivalent of 180 Swedish credit points or 180 ECTS credits at an accredited university, and Industrial organisation 15 credits on first level. Applicants must have written and verbal command of the English language equivalent to English course 6 (Swedish Upper-Secondary School). This can be proved by grades from English education or by such tests as:
- IELTS: score (Academic) of 6.5 or more (with none of the sections scoring less than 5.5)
- TOEFL paper based: score of 4.5 in written test and a total score of 575
- TOEFL internet-based: score of 20 in written test and a total score of 90
