The Lab Futures Sweden (FUSE) network
FUSE is a network that focuses on developing sustainable future lifestyles. The network’s primary goal is to, through critical perspectives and collaborative learning, create an arena where Swedish lab initiatives can collaborate and develop. Within the network, we meet twice a year, where the network’s partners take turns arranging the meetings. At Halmstad University, FUSE is orchestrated by the REBEL research programme.
Main goals of the network
Collaborative learning
Share success stories and failures between network members.
Network arena
Create a network to connect and collaborate between Swedish lab initiatives. Work hands on with for example writing collaborative proposals, kick-starting ideas, etcetera.
Lab methods and tools
Develop and consolidate methodologies to initiate lab projects, foster them and assess their social impacts, focusing on sustainability, community engagement, and long-term contributions to future living.
Critical perspectives
Develop lab methodologies through critical perspectives.
Upcoming network meetings
When: 13 March 2025 at 10.00–16.00
Where: Helsingborg
On 13 March at 10.00–16.00, the city of Helsingborg is organising our second meeting, which will focus on methods and tools used to, for example, engage, co-create, test, develop, evaluate and co-learn in various forms of testbeds and labs (such as living labs, maker spaces, Fab Labs, etcetera). This meeting is part of the City of Helsingborg’s knowledge journey towards Living Labs for sustainable urban development.
The day will include short lectures and inspiring examples of approaches, methods and tools. We will also work with interactive elements based on the meeting’s central theme and the accumulated knowledge in the room. The goal is to learn, discuss, network, and meet around shared interests.
