Renewable Heating and Cooling Pathways, Measures and Milestones for the implementation of the recast Renewable Energy Directive and full decarbonisation by 2050
The project "Renewable Heating and Cooling Pathways, Measures and Milestones for the implementation of the recast Renewable Energy Directive and full decarbonisation by 2050" is about estimating the potential in Europe to increase the proportion of renewable energy in the heating and cooling sector, including current legislation for 2030 and for full decarbonisation under the Paris Agreement by 2050.
The project consists of seven tasks, where Halmstad University leads Task 1 (Establish Renewable heating and cooling potentials). The University's district heating group's experiences of heating and cooling market analyzes, energy system analyzes and geographical surveys from previous European studies are of significant value here.
