Working with

I am a Professor of Social Work and Director of Studies for the Doctoral Programme in Health and Lifestyle at Halmstad University. My main research focuses on school social work and professional encounters with young people who have experienced domestic violence, honour-related violence, and oppression. I am especially interested in complex issues and dilemmas concerning the room for manoeuvre available to school staff and social workers in relation to legislation and case law for example, regarding compulsory education and the legal duty to report concerns about children to social services. I frequently lecture on schools opportunities to identifying and responding to honour-related issues.

(2) Professional perspectives on mandatory reporting of concerns about domestic violence.

(3) Schools interactions with newly arrived students who have experienced sexual violence

(4) Social services' efforts to combat domestic violence, with a particular emphasis on perpetrators.
