Working with
As a researcher at Halmstad University, my work focuses on health and lifestyle, with a particular emphasis on the development, evaluation, and implementation of person-centred and health-promoting interventions. The aim of this research is to strengthen individuals’ health, quality of life, and participation, while also contributing to sustainable practices within healthcare, social care, and welfare services.
My research encompasses four overarching areas: health-promoting interventions, person-centred interventions with a focus on health prevention, person-centred treatment interventions, and rehabilitation interventions with a focus on health and lifestyle. Within the health-promoting and preventive area, interventions are developed to encourage healthy behaviours, prevent illness, and promote sustainable working life. The research on person-centred interventions builds on my doctoral thesis on nurse-led clinics in rheumatology care. I am also a member of the Health Professionals in Rheumatology Scientific Committee within the European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR).
I am part of the Healthcare Improvement Group, where research is conducted within the framework of the Information Driven Care (IDC) research programme. IDC explores how digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to support person-centred and ethically sustainable practices in healthcare. The research includes the development and implementation of information-driven solutions for wound care and fall prevention (the ID Woundcare and SAFE projects), as well as studies focusing on human–technology–organization interaction and the responsible and safe implementation of AI in healthcare.
With a professional background as a Registered Nurse, my research is grounded in clinical practice and guided by a strong commitment to ethical, person-centred, and sustainable care. A defining feature of my research is co-production, where patients, professionals, and decision-makers actively participate throughout the research process. This approach ensures that the research generates knowledge and innovations that are relevant, sustainable, and applicable in practice.
