Lecturing and research

I am a senior lecturer/assistant professor at Halmstad University working with education and research, as well as supervision of theses, on two levels: Bachelor and Master in topics i.e. Scientific Method, Sustainable Building, Energy in Industry, Installation Technology in Buildings and more. I also work with supervision in SI Supplemental Instruction for FIH, and the preparation group for courses and educational plans, and is a member of the board for FIH School.

My focus within the research field sustainability and planning lies in energy, preservation and built environment which was documented in the licentiate thesis/aggregation or summarising thesis at Chalmers University of Technology in 2011. The doctoral thesis/monography was defended at Chalmers 2015 and was about a pedagogical tool for energy efficient building management and collaborative methods for balancing of energy issues in planning and building processes.

For research aim I wrote an InterSolar report for EMC Varberg, was project leader for the university’s part of the Ranagård project on the 4th generation district heating, invented here at Halmstad University by Professor Werner and senior lecturer Averfalk. I have also investigated hindrance and opportunities for implementation of new technology together with the researcher Stålne at Malmö University. Co-author of the report 70 Possibilities for District Heating in 2024, and the book Förnybar energi which will be published 2025. Created and gave a course for companies within the University Project Skills 2024.

In 2024 – 2026 I am project manager and leader for nZEBRA on nearly zero energy buildings. Four European universities and two European companies are included.
