Working with

Dean of the School of Business, Innovation and Sustainability at Halmstad University since January 2021. Professor of Marine Ecology at Halmstad University and Linnæus University, her research with aquatic microbes, mostly marine, links to energy flow and microbial diversity of aquatic ecosystems. A focus on innovative solutions, algal-based, contributes to clean water, clean air in a climate change perspective (Algoland). The vision is to contribute to Sustainable Blue Growth with algal technology, renewable energy, high value products and nutrient recovery.

She currently supervises 3-5 PhD students in collaboration with colleagues at EEMiS, Linnæus University and at the Dept. of Biology at Lund University. Research contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, SDG4 (Education), SDG5 (Gender Equality), SDG6 (Clean Water), SDG11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG14 (Life below water).
