Business Model Innovation
Innovation is when a new idea, technology, product or organizational design is taken from concept to implementation, either in business or in the community. Innovation must achieve acceptance, distribution ratio and create value for stakeholders. One of the most important aspects of innovation is commercialization in business settings. Innovations can also be social and societal, but this course has a focus on innovation in relation to technology, products and services. From experience we know that when new innovations are successful, it is related to commercialization of new ideas and when success is achieved innovation. Innovation can be either incremental or radical. When radical innovation occurs, it is also often related to new ways of doing business.
The focus is on exploring the dynamics of innovation, commercialization of innovation to become a successful product or service, especially when the business model's role in the process of creating an innovation. Especially business models for international spraying and international aspects of commercialization will be explored.
The course contains three parts:
Review of the literature in the field of Business Model Innovation, and apply different business model approaches on a range of case
Apply business models approaches in companies and in real business situations
Develop new business models for companies
