”Working at a university, I can teach the younger generations and transfer my knowledge, I can be a leader and a role model. I can be creative and do research without necessarily being limited to a specific direction of one company.”

Johan Thunberg is a researcher in mathematics and is working on a new scientific theory of synchronised systems.
“Not everyone works exactly like me, so we complement each other. That is good!”

“It is very stimulating to be a researcher because when you write about your research you know something that no one else in the whole world knows. It’s a marvellous feeling. And you have a lot of freedom, even if you have to convince financiers that your ideas are interesting.”

Malin Bornhager and Olga Torstensson are programme directors at Halmstad University, and responsible for the University's Cisco Academy.
”We educate staff at European police authorities so that they in turn can train their IT crime investigators.”
