Registration guide for new students

Before you can start your studies and get access to all the study material, there are a few steps you need to follow during the weeks before the semester starts.

How to connect to the registration meeting

  1. You may need to download Zoom to participate. Click on the link to "New at Halmstad University" in your schedule, or the link above, to download the programme. Make sure to do this well in advance, before the scheduled time so that you can be there from the start. You can download Zoom to your phone or computer, but we recommend that you participate via a computer if you can.
  2. You may also need to enter your name and email address (both private addresses and university addresses are fine) to be able to participate. The University does not save this information.
  3. Click on ”Join webinar” to start.

Should you have technical problems and for example do not hear anything when you enter the introduction, you can try to leave the meeting and then log in again. If that does not work, you can contact our IT support via email. Write with your phone number in the email and that it concerns Newbie and send the email to, and IT will call you.
