Have your say on campus development

Both the University and Halmstad Municipality want to develop the area where the University is located into a more vibrant and attractive campus with social areas and student apartments. An important step on the way is the proposal for a new detailed development plan for the area that the municipality has created. Until 31 January, you can see the proposal in an exhibition at the University Library and contribute with your own views.

Student hub remains open

At the beginning of the year, a student hub was opened on Brogatan 20 in the city center where you as a student can hang out with friends, study or take part in fun activities. After a first test period in the spring, it was decided, after the summer, that the hub will remain open.

Welcome to a new semester

The autumn semester has just started and here is a reminder of a few things to make the start of the semester as smooth as possible.

New student hub – a meeting place for students in the city

A place in the city center with study places, spaces to socialise and the opportunity to participate in fun activities. This is now a reality as a student hub has opened its doors on Brogatan 20. The hub will initially be open for a test period this spring until 31 May.

Watch out for phishing attempts

Currently, staff and students are receiving emails with fake information appearing to come from individuals at the University.

New portal for student health – Studenthälsa.se

On 15 January, studenthälsa.se was launched. It is a webpage for students to find information on the theme of health. It is a new national web portal for all Sweden’s university students.

HUST was welcomed home from adventures in Australia

At the University there are many exciting associations that you can get involved in. One of the student associations is HUST, which last autumn participated in a 3 000 km long race through the desert in Australia with its solar-powered racing car. On Friday, the association was officially welcomed home to the University during an event on campus.

Fun start for new students at the Welcoming Games

Last week, the spring semester started and with it, the Student Union's welcoming of new students. A fair, dodgeball and jousting were on the new students' schedule during the Welcoming Games.
