Instructions for poster
The Communications Department has compiled instructions and valuable tips on how to design your posters to attract visitors at Utexpo.

Each exhibition stand may have a maximum of two posters, each measuring 70x100 cm. The posters must be created using a layout program, such as PowerPoint, and should follow the correct education programme and colour scheme for a consistent design.
Both posters must be saved in a single document and submitted along with your registration no later than 20 May.
Download your Powerpoint template
In each template, there are four pre-designed layouts you can use. To access the layouts, open your template and click “Layout” under the “Home” tab.
Choose the correct education programme and programme colour for both posters.
Master’s Programme in Energy Smart Innovation in the Built Environment Powerpoint, 51.4 kB.
Master’s Programme in Exercise Biomedicine – Health and Performance Powerpoint, 52.1 kB.
Master’s Programme in Industrial Management and Innovation Powerpoint, 54.7 kB.
Master’s Programme in Mechanical Engineering Powerpoint, 51.6 kB.
Master's Programme in Network Forensics Powerpoint, 51.1 kB.
How to make your poster – step by step
- Download and save the correct Powerpoint template for your education programme and program colour.
- Choose from the four available layouts when designing your vertical posters. Note that you do not need to have the same message on both posters. Use the design tips. See below.
- Save both posters in the same PDF file. Name the PDF file your project name. Send it, no later than 20 May, to colorcopy@hh.se
- Pick up your posters on 3 June. The posters can be picked up at the Caretaker's Office in the Q building.
Design tips
Text
- Keep the information brief. It should invite to conversation.
- You do not have many seconds to catch a visitor's attention. More detailed information can be provided on, for example, an A4 sheet.
- Use simple fonts such as Arial – it is usually perceived as easy to read.
- Your posters do not have to be identical. Feel free to convey different messages.
- If you are unsure about the content, please discuss it with your Programme Director.
Image
- Customise the resolution of your images. Too low resolution produces a pixelated result, which makes the image look grainy. However, too high resolution results in very long print time.
- Make a test print of the image in A4 format. If it looks good up close, the large print is usually acceptable because it is read from a much greater distance.
- AI-generated images are allowed.
Colour
- Use colours wisely.
- A colour on a large surface is perceived much more strongly than the same color on a small surface. Some color combinations, for example black text on a blue background, may look good on the computer screen but can become difficult to read when printed.
- Do a test print if you are unsure.
Format
- Your posters must be upright in the paper size 70x100 cm. Both should be saved in the same PDF file.
