Student to student
Students help students! Between 14.00 and 17.00, student workers are available to answer questions about studying, IT, the library and its literature at the information desk in the library.
Student to student hours
The hours apply to weekdays during the semester.
Monday–Friday: 14.00–17.00
What you can ask
You can ask students almost any question about IT, the library or your studies. If you don't get an answer, students can help you get in touch with someone at the University who does.
The students who will help you
During Student to Student opening hours every weekday, you can meet several different students. They are studying a variety of programmes and courses, most at Bachelor's level and some at Master's level. Most of them will be able to answer your questions in English if you prefer.
Adam Blombacke, student worker
Which programme are you studying and which year?
“Applied Artificial Intelligence (AI), second year.”
How long have you been with Student to student?
“About a year and a half.”
What can you help other students with?
“Anything related to IT, but also information about Halmstad or the University itself.”
What are your best study tips?
“Actually put in the hours to study, even if it feels redundant. And don't forget to take breaks when you need to!”
What is your best tip for a new student?
“Don't let school take over your life. Make time for socialising and going to events. There are also lots of fun clubs for all kinds of interests, which is very rewarding.”
Ebba Tingström, student worker
Which programme are you studying and which year?
“Psychology – Sport and Exercise, third year.”
How long have you been a part of Student to Student?
“Since 2023.”
What can you help other students with?
“Since I have been a student myself for two years, I have both study experience and an overview of what resources are available, so I am happy to help with that and give tips. There are no stupid questions, I myself have been new.”
What are your best study tips?
“Take breaks from studying and don't forget to have some free time. Also to get help from teachers (they are there for you) as well from schoolmates. Personally, I think it's easier to study with someone, so it's probably a good tip to find a study buddy, so you can help each other.”
What is the best tip for a new student?
“The best thing is if you can plan your studies, have a calendar or schedule, and start on time. Also explore the resources offered by the school. There are many activities both during and after school hours, as well as access to language guidance and student health services, for example.”
