Guest Lecture: Open-source aid tech and Data API

The guest lecture is organized by students of the Applied AI program at The School of Information Technology (ITE) as part of the Implementation of AI for Business course. The lecture is open to all students and staff at the University who are interested in the topic.

The speaker is Taylor Fairbank, co-founder of Distribute Aid. Taylor has a background in software development and humanitarian work, and is currently investigating how AI can be used safely and ethically in humanitarian contexts. He studied computer science at the University of Illinois and Lund University.

The lecture takes place on Zoom and will cover open-source aid technology, data API, and how AI can help charities and contribute to humanitarian causes. No pre-registration is required.
