Welcome to a new semester
The spring semester has just started and we want to remind you of a few things to make the start of the semester as smooth as possible.
Visit the studentweb regularly
The student web, hh.se/studentweb, is the University’s official student communications channel where we share information with you regarding your studies and student life. It is your responsibility to keep yourself updated on the information we share with you via this page, so we recommend that you start your daily studies by visiting the student web.
This is what you find on the student web:
- My page An overview page with access to your schedule, course syllabi, and practise exams.
- Student news This is where Halmstad Univeristy publish important information connected to your studies and student life. Check the student news to keep yourself updated on information regarding the pandemic and in case of any changes in the University's digital tools etc.
- Content A-Z Detailed information about various topics related to your studies and student life, such as support functions, rules and regulations, safety information etc. Search via keywords or categories.
- Student Calender Keep track of all activities organised for students. The University, the Student Union and our student associations are constantly finding new ways of creating activities that are aligned with the Public Health Agency’s recommendations.
- Shortcut links – On the top of the startpage you will find links to important websites and digital tools that you will use regularly as a student, such as Blackboard, Student Ladok, Helpdesk and the University Library.
A wide range of study support
The various support functions at Halmstad University offer possibilities for digital meetings and phone meetings during the pandemic. Via the link below you will find an overview page with all available study support functions and more information on how they can help you.
Engage and meet new friends
A good way to maximise your time as a student, is to engage in various activities and student associations where you meet other students and make new friends. Reaching out to the Student Union is a good way to start to get more information about which student associations are suitable for you. At the start of each semester you can apply to be a part of their Buddy Programme, where you will be matched with a student from another country or programme.
How the Corona virus affects you as a student
We have collected all information on how the Corona virus affects you as a student on one page. As the restrictions from the government and the Public Health Agency are updated regularly, changes in your study situation can happen quickly. Please check this page regularly to stay updated.
