This page provides files for products covered by the site license of Mathematica at Halmstad University. Follow the step-by-step installation instructions for faculty- and student-owned computers. There is no difference in functionality between these versions and the one running at the University computer network other than the names "Mathematica for Students"/"Mathematica" and licence numbers. You may not use this Student Version for commercial purposes and when you leave Halmstad University you are kindly asked to remove it from your computer. You may only install this version on one computer.
Download the executable file according to your computer.
Use your student account to access the files.
The Windows version is a zip file, which you need to unpack into two .bin-files and one setup.exe. Run the setup.exe after unpacking the files.
Install Mathematica. Each version of Mathematica must be personalized by a user having an email domain address ending with "hh.se". You may install and register on more than one computer, if you wish.
Start by creating access to the Wolfram User Portal. Press the "Create Account" button. Follow the instructions. The activation key given is needed at the end of installation.
In order to proceed you must verify your account through a link in an e-mail sent to you from Wolfram.
Download the Mathematica media according to your computer platform, if not done faster under Step 1.
Finally run the installation media file. This is an executable file for your convenience.
Your Mathematica will run until the licence expiration date stated in the User Portal. This coincides with the major date of contract renewal between Halmstad University and Wolfram Research. The contract is normally extended beyond that date, one year at a time. In that case, you need a new activation key. If not sent to you automatically by e-mail, just go to the Wolfram User Portal.
