Avhandlingens titel: Robust Array Interpolation and Applications

Sammanfattning:
1. Array interpolation ( adaptive approach for sector selection, total least squares extension of linear interpolation, adaptive approach ofresponse discretization employing the Unscented Transformation
(UT), extension of array interpolation to a non linear method employing the Multivariate Adaptive Regression Splines (MARS), extension of array interpolation to multidimensional arrays employing tensor algebra).
2. Wirelesse Sensor Networks and Cooperative MIMO (Theoretical analysis on distance bounds were cooperative MIMO outperforms multi-hop, relative sensor localization method, sensor synchronization method and theoretical bounds on re-synchronization intervals, cluster formation algorithm and data routing algorithm under the presence of node failures, optimization method for obtaining a better distribution of energy in Wireless Sensor Networks, improved integration between mobile and static nodes).
Research question: how to improve energy-efficiency and interaction between mobile and static nodes in Wireless Sensor Networks through the use of cooperative MIMO techniques?
3. VehicularNetworks and Cooperative MIMO.
Research question: how to improve the cooperative awareness in platoons of heavy duty vehicles through the use of cooperative MIMO techniques?
